Lassa fever don kpai nine people for d past two months for Benue state. D state epidemiologist, Dr. Sam Ngishe, reveal dis one to journalists on Thursday, Feb. 29, im talk sey some of d people wey kpai dey live for inside d camp wey be for displaced people.
Dr. Ngishe come tori say from deir report so far, d IDP camp get plenty rats, and if d rats wey dey transmit am dey for d IDP camps, e mean say dem go need to work well well so dat d disease no go come spread wey go hard to come control.
E come further tori sey 46 people, plus health workers and people for d camp don carry d sickness across d state.
E come say dem don try bury the nine people wey don already kpai and dem folo d suppose way wey dem suppose to take bury dem.
E still tori say d government go try deir best to make sure say d wahala go reduce, but d IDP camp get plenty yawa sake of say dem get very poor latrine, lack of food dey and too many people wey dey make d disease spread.
